The Embassy of Pakistan is looking for a dynamic individual with good interpersonal skills for the post of "Trade Development Officer".

 

Applicants must possess:

 

•A minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration/Management, Commerce, International Trade, Economics or equivalent from a reputed university;

• 3 years’ experience preferably in trade-related matters or organizations;

• Proficiency in English with good IT skills.

Job Description

Trade Development Officer /Marketing Officer

 

1. Deliver high-quality research analysis of the Indonesian market and prepare reports on a range of sectors for the products of interest to Pakistan in these markets

 

2. Compile market reports and customize/edit the existing market and supply-side reports

 

3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly trade statistics and activity reports

 

4. Provide information regarding customs, tax, import, and export issues to the local and Pakistani companies

 

5. Seek, identify, and report export opportunities to build a pipeline of opportunities for Pakistani companies using various sources including market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and online assessment tools

 

6. Take appropriate action to respond efficiently and appropriately to trade-related inquiries received from importers and Pakistani companies

 

7. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including industry associations, chambers of commerce, and relevant organizations

 

8. Provide program support and scheduling to incoming delegations on market visits by the scheduling of business meetings, accommodation and travel arrangements, interpretation, receiving the delegations, and accompanying during the business meetings

 

9. Provide event management service for Trade & Investment Wing, exhibitions, and conferences as well as other internal and external events in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea

 

10. Maintain and update client database including Pakistani exporters, local importers, and Pakistani diaspora businesses

 

11. Arrange meetings of the Minister (Trade & Investment) with Pakistani and local businessmen and companies and assist in the preparation of agenda

 

12. Prepare talking points for the meetings, record notes during the meetings, prepare draft minutes/record notes of the meetings, and take follow up actions/correspondence

 

13. Carry out correspondence with Pakistani and local government officials and ministries regarding trade development and official matters

 

14. Assist the local and Pakistani companies in legalization of trade documents such as agency agreements

 

15. Market the trade-related events through Tele, E-Marketing, social, and digital media 16. Any other official work assigned by the Minister (Trade & Investment.
